About Me
Hi,
Alongside being a childminder I am a mum to a 10 year old an 8 year old and 6 year old twins.
I tailor the care I offer to meet the individual needs and personality of each child and pride myself on building strong partnerships with parents.
We live a 10 minute walk from Kingsthorpe Village Primary School.
Our house has a playroom, downstairs loo, lots of toys, books, crafts materials and a lovely enclosed garden to allow plenty of outside play. I offer a comfortable home environment and lots of opportunity for children to grow, learn and develop through play and social experiences.
Supporting children to explore their own interests and express themselves is important to me. I help and encourage children to manage their behaviour, build their confidence and like to share with you about your child's day and their ongoing development.
I enjoy being able to take children out and about to gain a rich experience in their crucial early years. For example: playgroups, parks, play centres, the farm or the garden centre. I place a great value in getting children outside to enjoy nature, and try to use some ideas from forrest school as part of children's learning.
All of my children attend Kingsthorpe Village Primary School.

My Experience
I have been a childminder since mid 2017 but being a mum of four, including twins, I have plenty of experience with babies and children (including potty training and getting them ready for starting school). My home is very child friendly and laid out with small people in mind. I have some experience looking after children with special needs.
I have a "Good' in my OFSTED inspection.
Before becoming a childminder my career was in fundraising and I worked for a few charities including Comic Relief and the NSPCC.

My Availability
I try to be flexible so please do contact me to discuss your requirements.
I currently have very limited availability for school pick up from KVPS.
Places for younger children/babies during the day available.
Available to look after pre-school and school age children during the school holidays.
I'm open to help accommodate parents who work shift patterns (where possible).
Flexible to consider term-time only contracts.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
My standard rate is £5.50 per hour, which includes snacks and lunch. I charge £14 for after school sessions until 6pm, including snacks and tea. Rates may vary for older children / school holidays / block bookings / siblings. Please contact me if you'd like to discuss.
