About Me

I am a kind-hearted and bubbly person with a lot of love to give! I am a mother myself to a beautiful and happy 2 year old daughter with my wonderful husband. Originally from Surrey, we moved to Oxfordshire in 2016 and have since March this year, found ourselves a lovely little home in beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water!

I am very creative, passionate and caring, and incredibly family-oriented! I love spending time with my family, sorting and organising things, getting outdoors, embroidery, undertaking many crafty projects, listening to music and attending gigs with my friends/husband.

I am enthusiastic, flexible, and organised and pride myself in providing a high standard of work. I am sociable (ex hairdresser!) and enjoy getting to know new people! I am passionate about providing lots of fun, educational, and age appropriate activities. These include both Child and Adult Led activities that link with the EYFS but also include the child/rens' current interest. I believe that learning should be fun, engaging, and interesting!

I especially like to focus on sensory and craft based activities, as I feel giving our wonderful little people the chance to express themselves is vital for their emotional and physical development! Getting outdoors in the fresh air is super important to me too. I feel a strong parent-nanny partnership is very important.

I am looking for a part-time position 1 day a week (Tues or Thurs) bringing my 2 year old daughter with me.

p.s - I own a Joie Double buggy that I am happy to use on duty, and I would take care of any food/travel cot/nappies and payment for classes etc, for my daughter myself. This would not be expected from the family. I take full responsibility for my daughter in your home.

My Experience

Current role -
Oddington
Aug 2023 - Present
3 days a week Role with a wonderful B12m

Maternity leave
February 2022 - Aug 2023

October 2021 - February 2022
My Nanny family (2018 - 2021) moved away to Scotland, so I looked for a position with another family, but at the time, I was pregnant. I decided to interview for the nursery in which I had previously completed my training. I was successful and worked at this setting as a Nursery Practitioner, in the baby room with children 6 months - 2 years. I did this up until February 2022, when I went on maternity leave.

Private Family, Woodstock — Full-time Nanny
October 2018 - July 2021
G3yrs and G1yr - Hay/ Dorsey Family
I started part-time with the family in Oct 2018 when the eldest daughter was just 3 months old. This role was originally mothers' help 2 days a week, so I would assist with household duties, washing and sterilising bottles/ dummies, taking the baby for walks in the pushchair for naps, playtime/ general care whilst mum got some rest.As the baby got older my duties increased and we added more days until I became their full time nanny in April 2019. My role consisted of general care i.e nappy changes, bathing, making and feeding bottles, eventually weaning, planning activities that would benefit and stimulate little one, trips out (park or classes baby attended) laundry and light housekeeping.I adjusted and adapted to how my role developed as Little one got older, planning suitable activities for each milestone in her development, potty training when time came, provided safe transportation to and from nursery 3 days a week, planned day trips and play dates. The family grew in Aug 2020, and so I made sure I was aiding both children's development, routines, and needs whilst providing a high level of care and support for both children and their parents. I also joined the family on several vacations and trips abroad and in the UK and assisted caring for the children. I also kept a folder for both of the children's development and logged each child's progress relating to the EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stage.

Part-time Nanny
September 2018 - March 2019
4 Families (Witney, Summertown, Marston + Shippon)
G2yrs + G9yrs School drop off and pick up - 4.5 hours a week
G6m Mother’s help - 12 hrs a week
G3yrs - 4 hrs a week
B15m - 5 hrs a week
I helped out these families each on different days, apart from Wednesdays, which was G3yrs AM and then G6m PM. This time was really about building my Nannying experience and working with all different ages to achieve this! I did this up until the family with G6m asked me to be their full-time Nanny.

Fixed term - Summer holidays Nanny
Milton-under-Wychwood
July - end of Aug 2018
This was my first nannying job. I looked after 3 young girls - ages 14 months - 9 years during the summer holidays. This included providing and overseeing age appropriate activities for all three girls, lunch preparation, feeding and hygiene care(14m old), and outdoor and indoor play.

Little Angels Childcare Nursery and Pre- School, Marcham— Nursery Practitioner
November 2016 - June 2018
Training during this position:
*Level 2 Childcare Diploma
*Safeguarding children and young people
*Paediatric First aid
*Prevent duty
*Level 2 food hygiene
* Understanding behaviour in Early Years
I was placed at Little Angels through an Early Years agency as a nursery assistant. I helped out for 2 weeks, and within those two weeks, the owners said they wanted to take me on as an apprentice. I decided to take them up on this offer, and I trained with them working towards my Level 2 Childcare diploma. In this job, I started working alongside the pre-school children 2-3 years for around 5 months until I moved into the baby room where I stayed for a year and a half. I really enjoyed working in the preschool room, but I found my calling in the baby room with babies 6 months -23 months. I absolutely love working with babies in those first important 12 months of their life, as this is where their little character begins to blossom. My role at the nursery included changing nappies, preparing/feeding babies bottles, putting children and babies to sleep, planning engaging, educational and exciting activities, observing children in the form of an electrical 'diary' of their journey at the nursery, working in partnership with the parents, working in a team, being approachable, upbeat and friendly, parent meetings to discuss children's development and progress and also safeguarding children and protecting their wellbeing. Working in a nursery was much more than changing nappies, I was a teacher. I taught children from 6 months to 3 years; using all sorts of creative techniques to support each individual child to achieve their full potential. It fills me with joy to know that I can help little babies to roll over by themselves, a toddler say a new word, or help a preschooler to write their name! I feel so proud to say that I am a part of some of these children’s firsts!

Looking after children is not a ‘job’ to me. It’s so very much more.

Rhiannon has been fantastic since the moment she joined us in August. Our son absolutely loves her and she really puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
She has made sensory toys for him, taken him to baby groups, outdoor play and helped me when he has been ill, in addition to all the usual things I have asked her to do! Couldn’t fault a thing!

We have been so thrilled to have Rhiannon as our nanny since 2018. During her time with us she has looked after our two little girls with the utmost care and dedication. She is creative, resourceful and imaginative - finding wonderful and exciting things to do with them each and every day (no mean feat after almost a year of lockdown!) Rhiannon takes her work extremely seriously and cares deeply about the children in her care - I trust her 100% and know that our little girls are totally safe whenever they are with her. She consistently goes above and beyond what is asked of her and is always happy to go the extra mile for the children and also the whole family. She is extremely organised and attentive to details and is able to juggle the demands of two small children each at their own stage of development and each with their own routines and needs. I can't recommend Rhiannon highly enough and any family would be unbelievably lucky to have her as their nanny.

Dear Marianna,

Thank you so very much for your kind words, I have enjoyed working with your family and two beautiful girls! It's been such a wonderful experience of learning and growth, not only for the girls but myself also.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every second.
I'll love those two girls always.
