I'm Olivia, a qualified teacher from Wetherby. I have experience teaching across all primary ages and am familiar with a range of special needs.
I have experience across the full primary age range, meaning I have an in depth knowledge of the curriculum and understand where your child might need a bit of extra support, as well as the resources to help them.
I will tailor sessions to meet your child's needs, ensuring they are able to learn, and most importantly, are comfortable. I'll talk to you and your child about how they learn to make the sessions as beneficial as possible for them. My time working in schools means I have worked with many different special needs. If your child has any additional needs, I will use the strategies I have built up to be support their learning.
Learning should be an inspiring and fun experience, where children want to find out more. This is when they learn best! By designing creative and engaging lessons your child will retain and progress in the area we are focusing on. I will bring any resources or additional materials to sessions, minimising the hassle for you and your child.
I will assess your child to ensure that the work we do is pitched at the correct level to move them towards their goal, whilst building their confidence. I believe self belief in learning is essential for children to progress and the 1:1 sessions I provide will leave your child feeling as though they have achieved and made progress.
Building up a rapport with your child is essential to get the best out of them and allows me to tailor sessions to their interests. I am an observant individual and will note your child's interests and personality to best connect with them.
I have qualified teacher status.
