About Me

I am a registered associate nutritionist currently studying for a master degree in human physiology. I was born and raised in Rome, lived a few years in the South West, then a year in Liverpool, and now I am in Manchester where I plan to stay. I work freelance so my availability is flexible.

I fully support gentle parenting and focus very much on the child's feelings. I am extremely patient and calm, but also firm and confident if necessary, for example, if the child puts himself in danger. For me, there is no naughty child! Just many children who need their emotions to be more acknowledged and understood. I have amazing bonds with all the families I worked with, and many references that I am more than happy to share.

I often simply observe the child for the first few hours/days. I show them that I respect their boundaries and that I am there and I am paying attention to them. Normally, they will be the ones to begin to involve me in their activities. I really like to leave them the liberty to decide when they are ready to interact with me. Some children need some encouragement with this while others cannot wait to tell me everything they do or have from the moment we meet! It very much depends on age and character. Having much experience, it is easy for me to quickly pick this up and adapt to the child's energy.

I do not currently own a car so I am unable to do pick-ups and drop-offs unless the school is within a walking distance. Being a nutritionist, I am more than happy to be involved in feeding/cooking.
