I am a 33 year old currently working in the museum sector who has many years of community and youth work as well as play work. I am a native speaker of English and fluent in Spanish. My hobbies include singing, amateur dramatics, foraging, cuddling my dog and crocheting!
My Experience
I have a wealth of experience working with children, especially primary age (4-11). I also hold a level 2 youth work diploma and have several years of experience as a youth worker, specifically with LGBTQ+ young people. Previously I have worked for a company that leads school camping trips in the woods. I supported children aged 7-16 in learning new outdoor skills, ran games, sang songs, told stories and cared for the childrens' wellbeing. Before that, I worked in an after school/holiday club for primary school children. It was a special place that was beautifully child-led and creative and I enjoyed catering to individual needs and passions! I am an older sibling (there are 4 younger than me) and have been caring for babies since I was small. I am very comfortable working with little ones and truly enjoy getting to know each individual child. I have experience working with children and young people who are neurodivergent, especially autistic young people and am able to adapt my communication style according to the needs of the individual.
