Home from home childminder

Our family are sadly coming to the end of 6 years with Simone. We feel incredibly lucky that we found her all those years ago and both our children have been able to stay with her until starting school. Sadly, we don’t live close enough to continue with wraparound school care, otherwise we most certainly would.

Simone has given both our children a home from home childcare experience which was the main thing we wanted when we first looking for childcare. She loves the children in her care like they are her own extended family. The days with Simone are always varied with visits to playgrounds or music groups, local parks or day trips out in the school holidays. Simone has a huge range of toys for the children, particularly in her gorgeous garden. She is always looking for new things to get to develop her large collection of toys and activities. Simone makes lovely home cooked meals and encourages the children to explore different foods and flavours.

Going back to work after having children was never going to be easy, but knowing they were with Simone made it easier. Collecting my daughter at the end of the day and hearing her say ‘can I stay a bit longer mummy?’ is a huge credit to Simone and the loving environment she creates in her setting. The children all become good friends and love spending time together.

We can’t thank Simone enough for everything. She’s been such a valued, reliable and constant person in both us and our children, and for that we are so grateful. It will be a sad day in July when we have to say our goodbyes - the end of a wonderful Simone era for our family.
