My Summary

My Experience

During my first year of University, I did a placement at Foundation Day Nursery where I worked with
children aged 7 months to 4 years old. I enjoyed my time there as I was able to apply my knowledge and skills into real life situations. I had the opportunity to observe children and work with them on a one to one basis by planning activities which helped develop their fine and gross motor skills. I was confident in communicating with the staff and children, and easily adapted to the everyday routine at the nursery. I was able to incorporate the work of different theorists which allowed me to help children reach their full potential, and during imaginative play I was able to connect with the children by observing and learning their views on certain things. The experience allowed me to enhance my skills and support children by meeting their full needs, I will be carrying on doing placement during second year as well.

Some of the activities I enjoy doing with children are arts and crafts, bike rides, playing in the park and baking. I enjoy doing interactive activities with children to get to know them better as well as understanding their opinions so I am fully aware of there likes and dislikes.

My Qualifications

I am currently a second year university student, studying early childhood studies.

My Availability

By April 26th I am able to work full time as I am finished with university.
