Hi there, my name is Lucy and I am an experienced childcare provider. I would describe myself as a positive, dependable and a high- energy individual with a passion for caring for children. I am a teaching assistant with over five years of working in the early year’s sector. I can offer a loving, nurturing and fun approach to caring for children, whilst ensuring to maintain an organized schedule. I am currently studying for a degree in children’s development and learning; so I am looking to find a family to nanny for during the summer holidays.
My Experience
I am level three qualified in childcare and Health and social care. I am also trained in: Safeguarding, Encouraging positive behavior, child sexual exploitation, Female genital mutilation, Understanding early years, Prevent training, Basic food hygiene and Fire safety. I am also pediatric first aid trained and hold a current and up to date DBS check. I am currently studying a degree in children’s development and learning, where I anticipate utilising my skill to become an early years teacher.
I have worked in a day care setting for three years, where I have gained experience with a diverse range of age groups. However, my main role working as an early years practitioner, was based in the under two’s room, where I was responsible for ten key worker children. I have excellent knowledge in understanding and caring for babies such as; weaning, interacting and developing the different areas of the EYFS.
My current job is working as a teaching assistant in the pre-preparatory department. My role as a teaching assistant in the pre prep department involves supporting and encouraging children’s learning and development whilst implementing a diverse curriculum. I also assist the teacher in managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour. Equally as important, I am responsible for supporting every individual child’s emotional and social development and reporting any concerns when necessary.

Health and Social Care, Level 3, BTEC National certification: Awarded: Distinction* (D*D*D*)- The Henley college 2015- 2017
Advanced level apprenticeship in the children and young people’s workforce; Early years educator, Level 3
