Hello! My name is Holly, I recently moved to Portsmouth from Bristol and I am looking for a nanny job. I have a LOT of experience with children and love spending time with kids and babies. For the past 2 years I have nannied in Bristol for children and babies aged 16 months to 10 years old. Although I have worked with children for a further 6 years before that at an alternative education project in Goa, India.
I have an enhanced DBS check and have an up to date paediatric first aid certificate, as well as being registered with Ofsted so you can obtain tax free childcare with me.
I count myself as very competent at working with children of all ages due to my 8 years of experience. I understand that children need constant care and attention for all aspects of their day, making it fun and full of games while also holding the space with loving boundaries. I will come every day with ideas, games and creative things for us to do together, letting the child guide the energy levels. These activities can be more tutoring orientated if you wish or just entertainment to keep the little ones happy.
My Experience
Nannying.
The past 2 years I have nannied for children of various ages, sometimes one on one, sometimes a nanny share and sometimes siblings and twins. I have gained experience in getting children down for naps, helping with potty training, creating good eating habits, helping to adjust to attending nursery for the first time, school pick up and drop offs, and the many aspects of daily home life with little children. I am loved by kids for my warm and enveloping attitude. I always have a calm and loving manner, am playful and engaging. I see the importance of following the way parents way do things so as to help children feel comfortable.
School.
Our school Yogi Art Center and was an alternative learning centre for kids ages 3-11. I have 6 years experience managing and teaching children from all over the world during my years there. We focused on holistic teaching styles to give children the freedom to grow and learn at their own pace, following our bespoke curriculum we spent a lot of time in nature and learning through play. We were an option for families who are seeking a different form of holistic education to mainstream schooling. We were an extremely popular place nestled in the jungle with open air classrooms and kids from up to 20 different nationalities. I had taught there since its founding and for the last 2 years been promoted to co director. Sadly we have had to close due to Covid travel restrictions, leaving me back living in the UK.
My Qualifications
From working in with children and in alternative education for the past 8 years I am highly aware of, and keen on, child development and our roles of guiding them creatively through the many stages of childhood. I am punctual, kind and super warm and friendly. I am currently completing my level 3 Forest School qualification understand the benefits of spending as much time as possible outdoors, whether in the garden of local green spaces. I can provide extensive glowing references.
My Availability
I can provide nurturing childcare with the option of added tutoring to create a more interactive day. Siblings of mixed ages can learn, play and develop skills together in a warm, fun environment. I am currently available all week.

My Fees
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
My fees will change depending on how many children are in my care and if you wish to have an hour or 2 of tutoring alongside the childcare.
