My Summary
I Am Intuitive, Warm, Calm, Experienced And Naturally Empathetic. Available September 2024
About Me
I am intuitive, empathetic, kind, patient and non-judgemental. I value and understand the importance of a safe nurturing environment for children and of self-care for parents.
I am adaptable, flexible and proactive. I am intuitive and have the emotional intelligence to know what a child needs and to support their growth and development.
I will be available for my next role from September 2024.
My Experience
I have 15 years of professional nanny experience and 10 years experience of working with vulnerable adults, families and their children in charities within the health and social care sector. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist in training and returned to working with children alongside my studies at the end of 2022. My last three positions have been with children from the ages of 4 months upwards and supporting with preparation for nursery.
I have a broad range of experience, caring for children from the ages of 4 months up to teenagers. I have newborn experience through having my own children and I am a mother of two.
As a nanny I have been left in sole charge of children on a day-to-day basis and whilst parents travelled abroad. I am sensitive to supporting a family in their own home. I am a competent cook and open to learning new recipes. I enjoy being creative, encouraging musical play, arranging play dates and attending play groups. I encourage fresh air, physical activity and exploring nature. I would explore age appropriate activities and get to know what your child enjoys doing and what you would like your child to experience.
I am empathetic and can provide boundaries where children feel safe to be themselves. I recognise children can have big emotions and may not have the words to describe how they are feeling. I am calm, caring and able to think about what a child is trying to communicate both verbally and non-verbally. I can support children with what they need physically, emotionally, with soothing or supporting them to self-soothe.
I do not do deep cleaning/housework, my main focus is on the child/children in my care. However, I understand the importance of parental support through tidying and cleaning in the kitchen after cooking or sterilising bottles, clearing up toys and having items organised for what is next in a daily routine. Most importantly I will ensure your child is cared for in a safe, calm and nurturing environment.
I have supported young children with the transition from crawling to walking, trying new foods, growing independence, potty training, singing songs, making up songs and poems, playing and listening to music. I delight in teaching new words and enjoy observing how language is then used and expressed.
I encourage empathy and kindness and model this for my own children. I am adaptable to the changing needs of children and enjoy supporting children of all ages in navigating life's challenges and achieving their milestones.

Caroline was our first experience with childcare working with our daughter from 8 months to 1 year and she has been an incredible addition to our lives. Caroline is calm, incredibly experienced, respectful, nurturing and our daughter adores her. We had never experienced childcare before but Caroline made us feel instantly relaxed and trusting in her presence, we also live in a small apartment and work from home and she slotted into our busy home seamlessly! I was still breastfeeding when Caroline joined and we have experienced weaning collectively, some first words and first steps. Caroline did not mind us popping in to see our daughter or supporting as and when we felt like we wanted a cuddle or to say hello which was so important to us as we manage the juggle of parenting and work for the first time. She will be very missed but her impression will be felt for so long!
Caroline was our baby’s nanny for 4.5 months, starting when he was just over a year old, and supporting us through a transition before we moved abroad. We do not have family nearby so it was a big transition for the little one to be looked after by anyone other than us, and Caroline was a blessing. Our son developed a rapport with her from the first day and she was very good at distracting him as we said goodbye. She picked up his cues, and little things he enjoyed and really worked with those, and everything went at his pace and needs on the day. She was also very respectful of him which was really important for us, and fully aligned with the way we parent.
We worked from home and Caroline was very happy to work around that. We were careful not to be disruptive of their day but equally she was very happy for us to pop in as needed. This stood out for us because we interviewed a few nannies prior who were adamant that parents not be in the house.
We are very grateful to have crossed paths with Caroline, so that our son could get used to a new caregiver in a very gentle and supportive way.
