About Me
I live in Caterham Valley and I am lucky to have two beautiful grandchildren whom I have helped to raise. They are now 12 and 8 years old and live 15 minutes away so I often get to spend time with them.
We grow our own organic vegetables and I enjoy cooking wholesome meals. My hobbies are art, photography gardening and countryside walks.
In my early years in childcare I started a Day Care Centre with 75 children and had 15 children in my class with a helper.
I enjoy taking care of young children watching them learn and flourish under my care. Very fulfilling.
When my husband retired we decided to do a few years of travel before settling down again.
I took care of a lovely little girl aged 4 for over 4 years and we grew to be very close. I hope to have such a relationship with the next young child in my care.
My Experience
I have been a child carer for many years and owned my own Day Care Centre which I named Pumpkin Patch.
My last employment was with a lovely family in Bletchingley with whom I took care of a lovely little girl aged 4 - after school care for over 4 years.
I fetched her from school and cooked her evening meals, supervised homework , arranged stimulating educational activities and bath time plus I did baby sitting duties if the parents were going out in the evening to functions etc.
During school holidays and mid terms I would do full day care on certain days in which case I would plan day trips and take care of her from early morning until early evening.
I have received a great reference from her parents.
I look forward to returning to childcare after taking a break to go travelling.
My Qualifications
I have my O levels and a year at college plus I have been on preschool years educational courses.
My Availability
I am available for part time nanny positions and/or after school care and to help out during holidays and mid term breaks. I am happy to travel up to 5 miles of Caterham - Redhill , Mersham. Westerham, Godstone, Nutfield and Bletchingley and surrounding areas.
