About Me
My name is Shanika, I live with my husband and two children who are 7 months and 3 years old. I live in a flat on the second floor that has a balcony and access to a rooftop garden. I have created a warm, encouraging, friendly and relaxing environment that emphasises on the importance of fun interactive learning through the use of arts and crafts.
My Experience
My experience ranges from professional to non-professional. From the age of 18, I was babysitting my siblings and encouraged them to do any work that they had from school. As I got older, I began to babysit my nieces, nephews and my godchildren and do occasionally. In terms of professional experience, I did three months work experience in Homerton hospital in the neonatal ward. I also worked in a care home that catered to individuals with additional needs during the years of 2013 to 2017. This is where I was able to exert my skills to care for vulnerable individuals.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Health and Social Care along with a level 3 in Access to Nursing and a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care.
My Availability
I am available 5 days a week and my hours range from 8am to 6pm

My son started with Shanika in March 2021 when he was 2. He had been out of childcare for about a year due to failed bonding. I’m so happy we found Shanika, as the first time they met they started to create a bond. My son was almost non verbal and within 1 month with Shanika he was talking and his language developed so well. My son was well taken care of and very much loved. He got the desired one to one that he needed. We never had any issues. After a few failed childcare situations I wish I defo found Shanika a lot sooner as the bond she has with my son is irreplaceable. I don’t usually do reviews but I needed to do this review ! Shanika is the best !!! If you want your child well looked after and want their developmental skills met on a one to one basis then this is the right setting for you and your child I promise you will not be disappointed !!!
