About Me
My friends would call me open minded, positive, warm. Smart and creative maybe. But above all, I pride my intuition and kindness/empathy. The intangible parts of life, and the beauty we can find in them. Children live their lives immersed in these things, their creativity allowed to run wild.
I am a 22 year old being, living in Midhurst, West Sussex. I am taking a break from my studies of biochemistry, to learn more about life, balance, philosophy, music, connection of our inner worlds and the outer world, and myself. I think children and so beautiful in their individualities, and I believe in allowing the expression of the self. I adore all animals, and I’ll miss my doggie when I’m at work! But I also just know my calling is working with children.
I have played piano/classical singing for many years, achieving ABRSM grade 8 a while back. I love to incorporate music into the lives of people around me. I have a record collection I’m rather proud of.
I also am very keen on moving the body, staying active. I practice yoga, and enjoy walks.
I love chess, sudoku, Japanese film (mainly studio ghibli) and interior design. General cinema is a passion of mine. Reading is my favourite thing of all I think.
I love to think I can guide children toward their own passions :)
I’m here to make parents life easier, and know their kids are in good hands. I believe in soft parenting, in teaching, and allowing children to learn.
My Experience
I have been babysitting since I was 13, whilst also working in a nursery with ages from 2-5. I have had experience with children of all ages, nannying a family of 4 over the lockdown months aged 4-13, a big family but we all managed to learn a lot, playing games and singing together, myself seeing the joy and novelty within children which is so rare in adults. I have experience with after school care, with a girl aged 9 for several months which allowed me to learn how to handle all ranges of situations that can occur while nannying. I have tutored many students, who all achieved excellence in their exams, both a level and GCSE maths, chemistry, biology and music.
I nannied for a boy of age 4 for 10 months, a lovely soul who struggled with big thoughts, but together we could express them and learn how to cope.
I also am working toward my level 2 childcare, having started Montessori training already, working in green giraffe day care in wales for 6 months. This has taught me many skills about varying ages, so I feel confident that your child can trust in me :) I’m nappy trained, and have an enhanced DBS check.
My Qualifications
I have 4 A levels at grade B in maths, chemistry, music and biology
Grade 8 piano and singing
St. John’s first aid trained
Childcare level 2 in training.
DBS checked.
