About Me
Hello! I am Lisa, Ofsted registered Childminder. I am a loving, devoted mum of two children, Alfie (10) and Ellie (7). I originally trained as a physiotherapist, but after the birth of my son, Alfie, I couldn’t bring myself to go back to work, and became a stay-at-home mum. My youngest has recently started full time school, and I am missing tiny feet running around and keeping me busy! I have decided to start my childminding journey, and feel so privileged to be able to watch more little people learn and grow.
I know how precious those little people are to you, and I strive to provide a home-from-home experience for your children. Where they feel safe. Happy. Challenged. Loved. And at home. After all, children learn best when they feel safe and happy.
I use the Kinderly app for daily diaries, observations and everything else you need. Making sure parents are always informed during the day, and once printed, makes a lovely keepsake of your child’s time with me.
Children will experience many aspects of learning while in my care, including exploring the local woods, fields, parks and everything Hoddesdon has to offer. Day trips to Paradise Wildlife Park. Arts, crafts, baking and lots of learning through play, both inside and out. Most importantly, we have lots of fun. I have a secure back garden equipped with a trampoline, play house, slide, sports games and ride on toys.
I have a beautiful, friendly, loving black cat, who I adore. He is brilliant with children and offers another great opportunity for children to develop as they learn to care for, and respect, animals.
Having been a stay-at-home mum for 8 years, I am very familiar with playgroups, soft play centres, woods and local parks that we can visit. I’m always looking for new places too.
I live in Hoddesdon, very close to Roselands Primary school. I am registered to work with children 0-11 years and can offer wrap around nursery care, and after school care, as well as early years. I work closely and flexibly with parents to meet individual needs, if you have any questions or specific requirements, please just ask and I will do my best to help.

My Experience
I have been childminding for 2 and a half years now. My mum was a childminder for many years and therefore have gained a lot of experience growing up. I have been a mother for 10 years, and have devoted my life to my children. I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is always looking for new places to visit and new activities to set up! I just love it all.

Homebased Childcare qualification. Level 3 paediatric first aid. Autism awareness. Level 2 food hygiene. Safeguarding.

Lisa has been amazing and really supportive in looking after my little boy. He started with Lisa at just 9 months old and he has settled with Lisa really well. He hasn’t been the easiest little boy having attachment issue with me and refusing to nap for anyone but me but Lisa found a way!! Not only is she great with the kids but also the parents. As a first time mum with no family nearby she has been a great help with supporting me as well.
The setting is perfect for kids and they are all full of laughter when I pick my little one up.
She takes them out into the woods, playgrounds, playgroups, PWP and the kids make lovely things for the kids.
What I love most are the daily updates and the pictures of what he has been up to

My little boy has been going to Lisas now for a while and i can honestly say its like home from home which is exactly what i wanted, I was really worried about using a childminder as this was new to me but im so glad i have as Lisa has been perfect & our little boy loves her! She is so understanding and cares for the children like they are her own! It took me a long time to find a childminder but when you know you just know, i instantly got a good feeling and her home is the perfect set up to look after the little ones. She does outside activity's with the little ones, they are always out on walks and at play groups, She does all the little things that as a full time working mum i don't always manage to do! So glad we chose Lisa its been the best thing for our little boy and being able to go to work without worrying is priceless xx
