My Experience

I have always had a passion for working with children and I would always be honoured to gain an opportunity that would allow me to progress in this career path. I started my childcare journey when I was just 16, I worked as a Playworker in the After School Club of my old Primary School. I worked there for two years part time during my studies in Sixth Form. I really enjoyed this job as it was always changing & challenging me in new ways. During this time I worked with children aged between 4 and 11 years old. I then went on to join a zero hours contract at Gymfinity Kids, where I would coach gymnastics to children between toddler age and 15 years old. I also used to run holiday camps here, where I would lead the children in different gymnastics circuits, activities and games. In 2021 I worked at a Nursery for a number of months, where I gained experience with children ages between 3 months & 2 years old. I learnt here how to change nappies, give bottles, feed the older children, provide sensory play, and develop the learning & understanding of these babies. I really enjoyed this position as I have always wanted to gain experience in working with infants. My most recent childcare position was as a Support Worker / Nanny for two children one ages 7 and one aged 11 who lives with Cerebral Palsy. I took on all the normal duties for a Nanny, looking after the children, taking them to and from school & activities, cooking for them, playing with them & helping with bed time routines. However as a Support Worker I also took on extra responsibilities such as helping the 11 year old to bathe, brush her teeth, dress, eat and complete her physical therapy exercises.

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
