About Me
Hello, my name is Lydia and I'm a Norland Nanny. I would consider myself to be a caring, conscientious, patient and kind nanny. I love to encourage children’s independence by teaching important life skills in a fun and playful manner and care passionately about their welfare and progress. I love having being outdoors as well as creativiting activities at home too. I am hardworking, organised, and able to adapt my communication style to suit the needs of the children I am working with. I believe a child’s early years lays the foundation for life-long success and wellbeing and consider it a privilege to be a small part in their development.
My Experience
I've had a range of experience with children from working in different settings including primary schools, nurseries and play groups to nannying for many families with ages ranging from 1 month to 10 years. Whilst at Norland, along with setting experience, I have completed a live in placement too. I have just completed my Newly Qualified Nanny year looking after two boys aged 4 and 1 years, full time. Also, as my parents are foster carers, I've had experience in looking after and supporting children who have lived through adverse childhood experiences. I have really enjoyed all the experience I have gained so far and it has definitely increased my desire to work with children.
My Qualifications
A Degree in Early Years Development and Learning and a Norland Diploma
At A levels I achieved an A in Psychology along with a double distinction* in Health and Social Care (BTEC).

Lydia was excellent, would highly recommend!
Lydia looked after our 3.5 yo and twin 7 month old girls as a resident (5 days a week, 11 hours a day) as as part of her Norland experience.
Lydia was great especially with the girls, from great home cooked food at each meal to fun activities like eatable sand and eatable painting. And on their development they are both now easily sitting which neither could do on Lydia’s arrival.
Super polite and friendly to the adults too!
