About Me
We live in Trumpington with our three children. Primarily we need someone to be a PA/ companion for our lovely 17 year old son. He is developmentally delayed and requires 1:1. We require one regular weekend day cover a week. If you have further availability then also 4pm to 6 pm a couple times in the week (negotiable) and potential school holidays.
My Requirements
We are looking for someone to look after our friendly and caring 17 year old boy. He has special needs and is developmentally delayed. He loves chatting and loves social interaction. We are looking for someone who is free regularly on either a Saturday or Sunday. This would involve playing with him on his switch, playing in the garden, keeping him company and taking him out for day trips. He loves aircraft, brass bands and animals.
He does have some medical needs. He has epilepsy and is tube fed. He also will require personal care when going to the toilet. We will need someone who is happy to initiate tube feeding and potentially manage seizures. All training is provided.
He also uses a wheelchair when out and about (he is mobile at home)
This is more that of a companion/ carer working in our home. We ideally need some one with special needs or caring experience who can work on own initiative, motivated and support the parents with his care.
