Hi my name is Abbie, I am 20 years old and I am currently training to become a fully qualified nursery practitioner. I am a friendly, calm and bubbly person. I enjoy watching movies, going out long walks with my friends and playing with my 2 kittens.
My Experience
I have had quite a lot of experience with children from babysitting family members to tutoring and being an au pair.
In 2019, I moved to Paris to live with a French/Japanese family and look after their 3 young children ages 2, 6 and 8. We would play games, sing songs, go to the park and lots more fun activities! I also helped them with homework and we worked on their English together.
I also had a tutoring job in Paris with another family where I taught their 10 year old son English. I created lessons and set goals for him weekly.
I also have experience babysitting for family members, especially my 2 younger sisters. I have been babysitting them since I was 13 years old to help support my mum when she had to work.
Currently, I am working in a nursery to complete my modern apprenticeship and become a fully qualified practitioner. I am currently caring for children ages 9 months - 24 months. I can confidently change nappies and make bottles. I am learning a lot about child development and fully encouraged children to reach their full potential.
My Qualifications
I have 8 National 5s from grades A-C and 3 Highers from A-B. I also have a National Progression Award for Social Services, Children and Young People
My Availability
I am available on Wednesdays 7am - 2pm*
Fully available on Saturdays and available on Sundays anytime until 9pm.
* If you are in the Barrhead/Neilston area and your child/children are not at school/nursery send me a message as I may be able to care for your child for longer on a Wednesday
