Hi! My name is Diego & I’m an easy going and optimistic person. I’m very enthusiastic, friendly & have a great work ethic. My hobbies include music and singing, cooking, immersing myself in other cultures and travelling. I’m fluent in both English and Portuguese (also basic Spanish) which I believe displays my integrity, commitment and determination to constantly better myself and my skill set as learning a new language can be quite difficult but very rewarding.
I have a lot of experience with children, which began when I started teaching young children and teenagers basic and intermediate English whilst i was at university studying music. These parts of my life then began to merge as i began to take part in projects within the schooling system that included things like infant musicality and music education, which the children really enjoyed. This means that when working with children I can do musical activities with them or even try to teach them some of my own native language, which children engage really well with.
I also like sports; swimming, basketball, volleyball etc because I love to be outdoors. I really enjoy hiking and exploring and will find it easy to tire out even the most energetic child. This comes in useful when minding my own nephews, which i absolutely adore. I would love for my experience to speak for itself and i cant wait to hear from some of you soon!
My Experience
I have experience working with children from the ages of 8 months - 16 years old. This has included working with twins and children with special needs, specifically autism, down syndrome and SPD. My experience with children has included both nannying and teaching. This is great when part of my job is to help children with their homework and after school work.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelors in Music & Music Production from Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR)
Im also fully qualified as an ESL Teacher (English Teacher)
I also have a TOEIC Certificate

Diego is our babysitter for our two boys, he is very reliable, organised, polite and trustworthy. My kids like having him around, and we will continue booking him going forwards.
Overall
Diego has baby sat many times for myself travelling a bit of a distance to help out with my three children aged from 13 to 4. My youngest especially loved interacting with Diego and he is fantastic at playing games and chatting with children. I feel very confident leaving them in his care and he is very reliable. I’d highly recommend him to anyone and feel he is a fantastic childminder/babysitter! I only wish he lived closer! Thank you Diego you are great to have in my home!

Diego is currently our nanny and looking after our twin 6-year-old boys who are quite a handful but Diego is an absolutely fantastic person to be around and the boys love spending time with him.
Diego is a very friendly, kind and caring person and is very patient with our boys. He does homework with them every day after school which is certainly not an easy task ! The boy’s teachers have said that they can see improvement in the boy’s performance and have commended Diego for his work with them which is great. Diego also takes the boys out in the park and often does arts & crafts activities with them which they really enjoy. We have asked him to prepare healthy snacks for our boys such as fruit and he always is happy to do this.
Diego is also a very good communicator and a very trustworthy, reliable person, he always makes sure he checks everything with us and he has never let us down for anything we have asked him to do. He is full of energy and has an incredibly positive attitude which is a fantastic quality. Most importantly our boys just love being in his company and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Diego is wonderful with the kids, he's amazing with things like homework and he's so patient regardless of the amount of noise!!! . He's great in the kitchen too, will definitely hire again 😊

Diego was my daughter's children's live-in nanny when I stayed with her. He was extremely caring and patient with the three children, two of whom are very quick and active toddler twins. He is a genuinely kind person with all of the energy and enthusiasm required to care for children, they love and respect him and I know my daughter found him to be a godsend.
