About Me

Hello my name is Freya ! I am looking to start with a new family in September 2024 . I would like a live in position .I’m a balance of energetic and professional and I am truly passionate about what I do .I enjoy outdoors , arts and crafts, board games, animals, museums, gigs, cinema and travelling! I have always wanted to work on the childcare sector but unfortunately with covid causing all these settings to close down I become a carer . I was a carer for 3 years I loved my role passionately however I am ready to become a nanny . I’m very reliable with jobs and always hope to stay in roles for as many years as I am needed . I’ve always looked after my brother who is now 11 . I began volunteering babysitting for mum’s at my brothers school who were stressed but didn’t like the idea of baby sitters however they trusted me . This was a three year old boy and in a separate family four year old twin boys. For work experience I went to Fitzwaryn school where I work in the youngest class teaching sensory skills which each child learned at different stages and had different verbal and hearing difficulties. Then I went to Pt toddlers where the ages ranged from 0-3. I become a emergency babysitter who would be contacted if there regular babysitters were unavailable . The ages ranged from new born to 4 . For some I was there for emergency’s , holidays and others becoming more regular . Here I would nappy change , potty training , bottle feeds , food preparation, bath time and dressing . Some of my babysitting roles meant I helped whilst family’s were moving house , looking after twins , looking after new borns and toddlers at the same time and children’s first times without parents . I would regularly take the children on walks , to the park and to play centres . My last job I was a live in nanny for 1 year . Here I would wake the children up , school drop up and pick ups , take them to clubs , make dinners and make sure homework was completed and pack their bags for the next day of school including clubs they had . Whilst they were at school I would complete laundry , tidying up after the children and empty the dishwasher.
