My ambition is to work in this field. Areas I am passionate about include inspiring, communicating, and encouraging children of all abilities and ages, to reach their full potential whilst encouraging individuality, especially from a young age. as an individual are passionate about. This can benefit them moving forward with their journey, in such a transitional and dynamic time of their lives. Which can benefit our society as a whole. I have experience in professional cleaning as I have previous worked as a cleaner for 2 years through college.
My Experience
I have experience in running summer clubs during my term breaks, in the local church. One particular event is called “Mish Mash.” Here, we teach children in the ages of primary and early secondary years, including SEN, about the stories in Christianity.
I love getting involved with the children, doing different dancing, singing, reading and teaching various activities. Seeing the wonderful effect of the children actively learning, enjoying themselves and interacting with other children, to find common interests and make new friends, without them noticing that they are developing through all of this, accentuated their learning in such a positive way.
In addition, I have had experience leading and teaching music workshops and pieces of music in schools for a variety of different ages on my weekends. This has given me the grasp to be aware of the complexity and organisation that goes into working with children and how much environments, first impressions, and activities can impact children’s learning and development. Also, how to regain focus, keep lessons engaging, adapt to situations changing suddenly.
I have gained more experience working with children by currently just finishing working at Columbus School and College. Moving my way through the school working in multiple classes, now then having a permanent position in a Specialist Autism Class which focuses on behaviour management.
Here I discovered my passion for SEN and how wonderfully diverse all the children are. I have the enjoyment in overseeing the development of the special education curriculum for children with multiple disabilities and how vital parent communication is. I have been able to provide special education instruction, emotional support and general care to small groups of students and 121. I am also skilled with changing, feeding, moving and handling and toileting children and young adults correctly. I have behaviour management training and have completed Essex Steps Training. I also have a up to date enhanced DBS certificate.
My Qualifications
I have a BA Hons in Music Education.
Achieved a level 3 extended diploma, College grade Merit in professional musicianship.
9 GCSE including English and Maths A- D.
My Availability
Summer holidays, 2-3 days a week.
