Hello There,
I am a very happy mama to four of my own children, two of which have grown up & I am now a proud nana to two wonderful grand babies.
I am in a very happy relationship & due to be married in 2023.
I have over 20 years experience raising my own lovely successful children. I grew up in a big Irish family full of love & music! I am the eldest of six.
I have a full clean driving license,
I am Enhanced DBS checked & have basic first aid training.
I have a drama degree, written & directed theatre & have fronted many soul bands as a lead vocalist.
I love being creative & use alot of these skills within my own parenting. I am currently writing a children's book. In 2016 during maternity leave I ran a soft play company all over Coventry & Warwickshire. This provided children a mobile service that supported sensory development & enhanced children's fitness & social skills through play.
I love nature & being outside is very important to me & my family. I am a gardening geek!
I am a SEN teacher across local Warwickshire Primary Schools, predominantly specialising in SEN one on one support.
I also have vast experience loving & looking after children with special needs as I have a beautiful autistic son who inspires me everyday. I am his carer & liaise regularly with the local authority & school on his behalf. I have also accessed many courses to further my knowledge about ASD. I have a wonderful bond with all my friends children & our home is the hub for all of our social gatherings. I am better known as 'ginger poppins' or Miss Kerrie!
I adore children & I believe listening and understanding a child is the key to a happy child. It is so important that your child feels safe & relaxed when away from their parents, I would do all I can to ensure they have the most positive experience in my care. I pride myself on being kind & super positive. Following a routine & providing a stable, relaxed, fun environment is key. I aim to provide a safe, reliable happy service. I come with a smile & a spring in my step!
I really look forward to supporting parents & further meeting your children. I do provide event care eg. Weddings which I can take up to three children. If you require, I can also provide a team of trusted DBS checked staff to help with higher ratio's.
Also, holding a gold membership can allow access to further family discounts for local days out etc.
I can also provide character references on request & just to note I am in the process of an application to become Ofsted registered, this can take up to 3 months.

Kerrie has babysat our 3 children and left me feeling completely assured that they would be well looked after. Having children and even grandchildren herself, she knows how to handle all different ages and how to talk to them and engage them.
I truly felt that Kerrie has done everything and more than what I expected (and I have high expectations). She listened and talked to them, played board games, read books, took them to the playground, fed them, did arts and crafts and even tidied up and taught my littlest one new letters! Oh, and she did also have to deal with our exuberant puppy!
She did everything really well and actually cares about the children. I couldn't fault her.
I would highly recommend Kerrie! :-)
