Above and beyond

We employed Liz to look after our newborn from day 2 (as soon as we got home from the hospital). Liz provided care for our daughter 4 nights a week for a period of 12 weeks. Liz is reliable, enthusiastic and takes great pride in her work. She takes her professional responsibilities very seriously. My daughter suffers from allergies and Liz was always thinking of ways to make her feel more comfortable. Even when off duty, Liz was always just at the other end of the phone with tips and ideas to help with my daughter's care. Our main priority was to get our daughter into a good sleeping and feeding routine, which Liz clearly and confidently implemented and helped us to maintain. Liz was very communicative with both me and my husband, as well as the other nannies who covered the rest of the week. Liz made sure that everyone was up to speed and on the same page and was consistently motivated by what was best for our daughter. Liz was the only nanny that we chose to retain for the entire 12 weeks of our daughter's night care. The other nannies fell significantly short of Liz's high standards and dedication.

Liz extended her care to me as a new mum, which I am eternally grateful for as I was fairly new to the area and have no family or close friends living nearby. As well as being a constant source of encouragement and support, Liz has been a fountain of knowledge, sharing wisdom gained from her own experience of motherhood as well as her 30+ years of working in childcare. Liz is an extremely intuitive nanny and very quickly built a strong relationship with our daughter. Liz seemed to instinctively know what was best for our daughter in every situation and was able to tailor her care in response to our daughter's personality and preferences.

Liz exhibited great enthusiasm for her role as a nanny - she clearly loves what she does and it was a pleasure to share this most special time with her. At 12 weeks our daughter was sleeping from 6:30pm to 6:00am and so we no longer needed Liz's help. I was delighted that we had achieved our sleep goals and that our daughter was in an excellent routine but I felt a little sad that Liz would be leaving our home, since I really appreciated her input into our family life. For the 12 weeks that Liz was with us she gave me no reason to question her abilities or professional integrity. I trusted her completely with my daughter's care and was able to sleep soundly at night, knowing that Liz would always do the right thing by our daughter. I cannot recommend Liz highly enough. She has had such a positive impact on our experience as new parents and any family would be very lucky to have her. Thank you Liz!!! :)
