My Summary

My Experience

I have had experience working in the school environment. I worked at Hartsfield J.M.I in Baldock for 12 weeks and St. Mary's school for 9 weeks. I was working in the classroom , assisting the primary school teacher with general teaching.

I have worked within a family home helping a mother with a new born baby and a 3 year old boy. I helped her with meals and feeding, bathing, changing, sterilising, general hygiene and play activities. As well as helping with household chores required for the children.

I have worked in a nursery in Baldock; Puddleducks Day Nursery for over 3 years working with various aged children. I worked in the Pre School team looking after children 3-5. I established good relationships with children and adults/parents so that I can cater to all their individual needs. On a weekly basis I planned activities which are in keeping with the EYFS to ensure all areas of development are being observed and recorded. I helped the chidren with genral care, hygiene, food preparation and safety within their environment.

I have nannied for two boys aged 2 & 4. I took the elder boy to school and looked after the other during the day and obviously both out of term time for a year.
I have nannied for a little girl aged 18months for 6 months. This was a lovely different dynamic as she learned her first words whilst in my care, she gained independence in walking, eating and flourished into a young person.
I've nannied for two children boy and girl aged 7 & 8 when I started. I was with the family for 2 & 1/2 years and again it was a completely different experience. Helping with homework, organising after school classes. I have loved watching them grow up into the people they are today becoming individuals and making there own choices and decisions.
I went on to nanny for 3 children; twins of 10 and an older girl 12. I was with the family for 18 months and during that time I helped with school transitioning, moving home and big changes in the children’s routines in day to day life. I supported the children with homework, after school clubs, play dates and generally becoming more independent.
I took the children to various groups, farms, park, dancing, swimming etc.
My most recent role is with two children ages 8 & 10 (when I joined them) who moved from an entirely different part of the country; with building new friendship groups, and settling into a new life. I have tried to make this as smooth as possible for them. I have been with the family since 2018. It is my job to ensure the children are all developing to the best of their ability by providing activities which encourage their learning.I also take care of the children's meals, washing, tidying their environment and general well-being. I like to think of myself as a fun nanny whilst also supporting parents and their methods of behaviour and discipline.
I have personal references from families I have had the pleasure of working with.

My Qualifications

I have a BTEC National diploma in Early Years (graded at triple distinction level)
I am first aid trained and basic life support training.
I have a food hygiene certificate .
I have had training in safeguarding children, baby signing, positive behaviour training, EYFS training and child protection.

My Availability

My children are 7 and 3 so I am only looking for part time positions. I am ideally looking for around 15-20 hours potentially increasing when my youngest starts school. My current role is coming to an end February 2024.

My Fees

• Nannying from £14.50 per hour (gross)
