About Me
HI I'm Gemma,
I offer a drop off and pick up day care, situated next to Canons Park Station.
I have had many years experience looking after children of all ages and am dedicated to making sure every child feels safe and happy whilst they are in my home.
Children can enjoy the large garden that we spend a lot of time in playing games, exploring the wildlife or learning about the flowers and vegetables we have growing here. We’re also on the same road as the park so take regular trips to play on the swings.
Inside we have arts & crafts equipment, lots of board games and toys and an extensive book collection - with literature for kids of all ages.
I plan fun activities around the hobbies and interests of the children that are here.

My Experience
I have many years experience of looking after children of all ages. My further experience of childcare and education has been as Trustee on the Board of Trustee at my son’s nursery which gave me a wealth of knowledge in terms of Health & Safety, Safeguarding and the Early Years Curriculum. I also worked as Clerk to The Board of Governors at a local High School where I got to know about the current National Curriculum and many other policies surrounding education for children. Whilst there I also completed training in Safeguarding - Level 1.
My Qualifications
I have an enhanced DBS certificate and have received Level 1 Safeguarding training.

Gemma looked after my children, aged 4 and 6 recently. She is very engaging, kind and caring. The children enjoyed spending time with her and particularly enjoyed outdoor play with her. I found Gemma to be punctual and reliable. I would have no hesitation in recommending her.
