I am an enthusiastic childcare practitioner currently working as a SEN teaching assistant at a local school. Punctual, outgoing, also full of energy and happy to play and be silly!
My main interests are reading, singing and movies, as well as hobbycrafts, running and sport.
My Experience
I currently work during term time in a local SEN school as a teaching assistant, both 1:1 and generic. I have lots of experience with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, diabetes and a myriad of other speech and language difficulties. I am also proficient in sign language (SSE). I am DBS/CRB checked, have undergone lots of safeguarding training, ELKLAN speech and language training to support children, and first aid with type 1 diabetes support.
I have been a babysitter for children with no additional needs in the past also, supporting with bedtime routines, making and serving food, support with toileting, as well as behaviour management when needed.
My Qualifications
BA(Hons) in Drama and Theatre
ELKLAN level 3 speech and language training
First Aid training
GCSEs A*-C in Maths, English and Science
Food hygiene
My Availability
Term time: I am available evenings and some weekend evenings. Contact for full availability as it may change week to week - for instance, some weeks I may be able to work a Friday evening, I can be flexible. I may also be able to do some weekend daytimes dependent on circumstances but cannot guarantee this far in advance.
School Holidays: I am available most days during the school holidays; please get in touch to find out my full availability during holidays, as I occasionally run vocational clubs at my school.
