About Me

Mid thirties, very experienced parent, have a young son who I had to give up my job for and put my whole life on hold. He’s worth it. But very few people would truly be able to step into my shoes this last few years or so.

I’ve spent the last year and a half looking after him. Alone. He’s had a baby sitter but she to be honest had way too many kids to handle Alex and I could tell he wasn’t enjoying himself. He demands a lot of attention. You can leave him be for a bit let him play, but in no time, if your eyes on the back of your head don’t work so well, he will be up to something. He’s so sweet kind. The last baby sitter cost a lot. I want to avoid that. He needs to interact. He needs a change. Also from his last sitter he kept coming back unwell for starters. I was not impressed with that.

So, if you are to fill the role, ensure you can give your attention to him fully or don’t bother applying. If you’d rather glad yourself as qualified but sit there playing on your phone instead then it won’t last.

Please note, I am very experienced. I am no fool. Before I’d be relatively relaxed with child care, but now I’m to find the right choice. And yes, that is my job! To put alex’s needs first! That is priority number one for you. Which you CANNOT do if you already look after multiple kids it seems.

I will hire a few people part time each to share before Alex attends nursery in six months. This is a 3-6 month role but can be for longer if you suit.

Ideally want someone who drives or can collect or drop off and who like the last two people leaves him in the same nappy for eight hours a day!!!

Alex, as you’ll discover yourself is the worlds best looking child. He is so so nice to people. He loves animals. He adores life. So, if you claim to be a pro, be one! Don’t take the role and then leave him hours like the last two in the corner with other kids and just play on your phone! Alex deserves more!

Finally, if you apply, add a covering note. Sell yourself and tell me why I should hire you - because I have thirty eight qualifications and that doesn’t make me fabulous. There’s more to it than a grade. Kids take care, attention, development. Love. Do NOT waste my time!
