About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher, currently working as a year 4 teacher, who has 9 + years of education experience, both as a tutor and a qualified teacher. I specialize in tutoring English and French (children and adults) but am open to all teaching English and French at all levels, as well as all other subjects at the KS1 and KS2 levels.
My Experience
I received my Bachelor of Arts (honours) at York University, as well as my Bachelor of Education at Western University. I have taught in both the UK and in Canada. I have taught various subjects and all age groups from nursery children to adults. My experience as an international teacher has allowed me to be a well-rounded, curious and flexible teacher, I am always learning and working on developing my pedagogy. I was a key member in a Literacy centre based in Toronto, Canada. I was employed as a tutor of English, French and other subjects the children and adults needed support with. I worked with all age groups, children and adults, as well as different learning styles, abilities and ethnicities.
In my current school, I believe that I have served as a positive role model and established myself as an important part of the Year 4 and 3 team. I have worked closely with a range of fellow professionals to successfully meet the academic and emotional needs of my pupils. In 2018, I was a valuable member of the team who raised the schools OFSTED rating to ‘Good’ from ‘Needs Improvement’ I am currently employed as a Year 4 Teacher and am running and teaching the French Club after school weekly.
