Hello! Im Jodie an Ofsted registered GOOD childminder based in Callands WA5. I have lived in Callands for 8 years with my partner Ash, our two young sons aged 8 and 5 and our very own Mind The Baby mascot Blu. Blu the cat loves the children and much as the children love him, he will never say no to a cuddle.
Mind The Baby provides a stimulating, nurturing home from home environment that enables the children to learn, explore, flourish and most importantly have fun! I thoroughly enjoy my role, childminding is so rewarding, seeing the children happy whilst learning is precious.
At my setting I have an endless amount of resources that are fully accessible to the children to enjoy. Our days are fairly structured as I believe a clear sense of routine and order provides the children limits and boundaries. At Mind The baby I offer a wide range of activities and outings including:
- Full access to a large garden with lots of equipment
- Weekly tot group
- Weekly Library rhyme and story time
- Soft play
- Plenty of forest walks and exploring, we visit many national trust sites (We all love the outdoors!)
- Crafts and messy play
- Baking
- Child lead activities dependant on their interests
- Adult lead activities to encourage development
- Free play
- We meet up with many fellow childminders and their children on a regular basis, the children love spending time socialising.
Being a parent myself I understand how important it is to have full trust in the person caring for your little ones, I remember worrying myself when my sons went into childcare! I go above and beyond to ensure the children are happy, safe and loving life.

My Experience
Since being little I have always been a mother hen! Having my own children really opened up my world and encouraged me further to pursue a career in caring for children. Mind The baby have been open since April 2022 and I absolutely love it.

I am available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-4pm, I can be flexible so please dont hesitate to contact me. Even if I am unavailable, I know a wide range of local childminders that may be able to help.
