About Me
Hi Everyone! My name is Sophie and I am a devoted maternity nurse seeking a position to provide exceptional care and support to mothers, families and their newborns. I love my career and sometimes volunteer as a youth teacher at church on Sundays. I have worked well with many families from all different backgrounds (some of whom I still keep in touch with till this day). My main aim is to teach mothers/fathers how to care for their newborn's individual needs whilst allowing parents the time to rest from the birth of their baby.
Aside from working I enjoy music, and keeping up with news around the world.
My Experience
I have 10+ years working in childcare. I have worked with different ages starting from new borns to school-age. The skills that I have gained over the years has allowed me to tailor my support to each child's needs effectively. My services include general duties such as giving the babies their feeds, bathing, making sure the baby is happily settled, providing professional advice, and assisting moms with breastfeeding, sleep training, creating a routine and a bond with the baby.
In 2022 I worked as a Teaching Assistant for SEN Pupils providing support to students inside and outside the classroom, helping them interact with others and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Additionally, in previous years I have worked with families abroad providing 24/7 hour support to the family and the baby.
My Qualifications
Certificate in Paediatric First Aid
Certificate in Maternity Nursing, Baby Angel Nursing Course with Jackie Nancy
Certificate in the English Language
2013 up-to-date CRB
My Availability
Starting the 27th of November 2023 I will be available to support a family part-time/full-time.
