Hi! My name is Iris and I am 25 years old. I'm from Brazil. I am a Nutritionist at the Federal University of Alfenas. I currently live in Abingdon and I am here as an Au Pair on an amazing experience. Intern at companies such as AstraZeneca Brasil and Hospital Sírio Libanês. I did a volunteer internship in Public Health in Minas Gerais. I helped a lot of people, including children.
Children are very important to me because I following their development is enriching for me. They remind me of my family, my childhood and I have a lot of affection for everyone, specially newborns.
I love cooking (it would be great to cook Brazilian food for you and teach the kids to do it too through cooking workshops. My British family just love my food =D).
I am very adaptable to any situation and location.
I speak native Portuguese and intermediate Spanish and English.
I am a very affectionate and very playful person, I am always willing to help and create games to entertain children.

My Experience
I have experience taking care of a 6 month old baby. I was a nanny in Brazil for almost two years and did jobs like changing diapers, interactive games to help with development, daily trips to the park, cooking and planning your healthy weekly menu, bathing and organizing baby things like toys and clothes. I can say that I am very cheerful, helpful, affectionate and adaptable.
In Oxford I took care an one year old baby as well. She was really easy going and I have good references for you.
Also my Nutritionist job requires that I have constant contact with children and vulnerable people.
As an Au Pair, I also help with food for teenagers in addition to organizing their belongings and clothes.
My Qualifications
I am a nutritionist and I value the quality of healthy meals and essential nutrients for the proper development of each age group. This is a thematic that I really like. I love to cook and it will be a pleasure to prepare Brazilian dishes for you (I have some food courses).
I have some courses in routine and sleep hygiene and non-violent communication, so I can help a lot. I also know the harms of excessive screen use for children, so know that I will do my best to entertain them with educational activities.

I was so pleased to find Iris on this site. I had her come to my home to tend to my 9-week-old while my partner was away and I needed to do some work and chores at home. She is a lovely person who clearly loves kids! I look forward to having her come again.
