Dear Family,
I am a 49 year old French lady who has worked as a Nanny for the last ten years.
I am now available for babysitting only.
Previous families have described me as warm, kind, calm and patient, not to mention very reliable.
I hold the required insurances, DBS and First Aid Certificate, as well as the Cache Level 2 Certificate Introducing Caring for Children and Young People.

My Experience
I have been helping looking after a nearly 2 year old boy, helping him feel safe and loved with a daily dose of laughter, hugs and kisses.
I have enjoyed sharing and documenting his little triumphs and adventures with his parents, as well as their language development. I have an interest in early years as well as language acquisition (native or second language).
I am as happy to organise activities (nature walks, painting, French class) as I am to follow the parents’ lead. I try and adapt to the family’s needs.
My Qualifications
I have a Law, English and ICT degree and a Cache level 2 Caring for children Certificate.
I have attended a Montessori nursery school where parents and carers had the opportunity to learn and practise the Montessori philosophy. I am also interested in the Forest School movement, gentle parenting, positive discipline, and the curiosity approach.

We have really loved working with Betty and have so appreciated that she has just slotted so nicely into our family. It’s really lovely having her around as she has such a positive outlook and open approach.
She’s really worked hard to build connection with both our boys which she has absolutely done as each of them have a strong bond with her. Betty fits in really well with our gentle parenting approach and also brings a wealth of experience with her - I’ve picked up some great tips!
Betty is great at empowering the boys - even when my youngest was a baby, she was great at creating opportunities for him to feel some independence. I have really also appreciated the gentle approach she has taken to diffusing sibling battles and toddler tantrums. Betty also has a fantastic approach to nutrition and I love how she makes “eating the rainbow” exciting for the boys.
We will really miss Betty!

We have been blessed to have Betty care for our children. Trusting her completely to care for our children was fundamental and we have not been disappointed. Very child-focused and dedicated to them as individuals, Betty loved and nurtured our children. We are very disappointed that she wants to try living in Scotland!!! She has brought to our home, energy and love. She has been creative in engaging with the children, stimulating and fun. She has helped them develop their age-appropriate French language skills. We introduced Betty to a Montessori toddler group where she has had the chance to learn about the philosophy and the materials, and to children's music classes which follow the Kodaly method, as well as a toddler French class. All excellent experience to share with your child! Also very competent with the household tasks. Conscientious, mature, vibrant, and fun. Our loss is your gain!
