About Me
Hi, my name is Jodie Chaplin. I am a childminder based in Forestdale. I am 35 and have two sons, age 3 and 5. I have 12 years experience as a primary school teacher. This has equipped me to plan activities that are fun, interesting and intriguing, that promote the EYFS characteristics of effective teaching and learning; playing and exploring, active learning, creating and thinking critically. Daily outings include our wonderful local woodland, local libraries, play groups, picnics!
My Experience
A home nursery with endless toys and resources to develop skills in a fun way! I want to inspire children to have a love of learning and encourage curiosity and exploration to develop their knowledge and understanding of the world.
I am kind and compassionate and am able to build excellent positive relationships with little people! My teaching career has given me the skills to create an environment where children will thrive and be the best they can be…and most importantly…BE HAPPY!
