About Me
I am a Business student who has an extensive history in looking after children. I have been with two different agencies and have previous private experience dating back to as far as I can remember.
I have always looked after children and enjoy doing so. I take pride in watching them grow and teaching them things along the way. I respect the parenting styles of whom I work for but also integrate my own ( discussed with parents).
I do experience the common misconception that I can’t possibly know much about looking after children, however as mentioned before, I have looked after children for years and so have picked up a plethora of parenting skills and techniques. Anything from physical skills such as changing nappies, burping etc. To behavioural skills such as positive reinforcement and redirection.
Not to mention my very loving and affectionate nature towards children.
My Experience
I began looking after children at a young age. As my mother and her friend had to go to work, I would often babysit the baby of my mothers friend. Feeding, bathing, changing, playing and putting baby to sleep.
After this, I took on the role of looking after my baby nephews often.
From this I went into nannying with an agency where I looked after two girls. The role included homework and finding activities to do, which was great fun.
After this I looked after a two siblings. This required picking up from. Nursery, nappy changes, bath, dinner and bedtime.
With another agency I looked after a pair of sisters. This included breakfast, taking and picking up from school, dinner and entertainment.
And finally, looking after a boy.
My Qualifications
From working with a previous agency I obtained my Child first aid course training.
In terms of schooling I have GCSEs and A-Levels and am currently working towards my bachelors degree in Business management and Entrepreneurship.
My Availability
Looking for full time in the summer. Availability may differ end of September.
