My Experience
I started my childcare career as a nanny which I did for 3 years. My duties included picking up 2-4 kids from Primary school, taking them to any extra activities, making them dinner, walking and taking care of house pets, and checking to ensure homework was completed.
I then went on to work for a nursery as a nursery practitioner. This is my current occupation and I have been working here for 2 years. My duties included but were not limited to giving food to the children; breakfast, lunch, and dinner, teaching them basic English and maths, and setting up and creating activities to keep the children entertained during the day. Cleaning up with the children changing nappies and teaching them valuable life skills such as but not limited to building social skills, brushing their teeth, toilet training, tidying up, and using cutlery to eat.
Currently located in London but will be relocating to Peterborough in August.
My Qualifications
I am first aid trained and have my DBS.
I also have a foods hygiene certification as well as a safeguarding certificate.
