Hi, my name is Emily and I am an experienced childminder with 3 years of experience and 30+ clients in that time.
I am currently finishing up my childcare course and I usually work with a lot of children with autism/ disabilities. I have quite a few regular clients that use my services on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. I am a very trusted person and my clients are always reassured this before my first visits, as I often meet the children beforehand (free of charge).
I am aware of some of the challenges that parents face every day, and sometimes we all just need a break and time to focus on ourselves and that is perfectly normal. I have had a few parents that are embarrassed to need a babysitter, however we are all human and we all need a break once in a while.
My experience with children with higher support needs is often a big plus when it comes to having a babysitter as not only does it mean I can understand the difficulties that these children face, I can help them to regulate their emotions and feel safe.
I very much believe in learning through play and I incorporate that into my babysitting duties. I can help children Lear to read, talk, do homework with them, help to potty train them and even help them learn to walk. I often bring toys, books and arts and crafts that is sited to their individual needs so they can have fun and learn at the same time.
I am very young, and sometimes that does worry people, however I have been babysitting for many years and I grew up in a family with quite a few children with disabilities and autism so I understand a lot of what parents do go through and I hope to make their life easier.
My Experience
I have 3 years of formal experience with babysitting and 8 years of informal experience with my own family.
I am fully DBS checked, First Aid Certified and have many training qualifications which you can access at any time, just ask me!

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£10 an hour for one child plus 50p an hour for every other child.
Overnight fee is £130 for 10 hours.
Please note: I limit my overnight stays to once a week so if you wish to have an overnight stay, please contact me with at least 2 weeks notice. Again, first come first serve.

I have never used a babysitter before so was a bit nervous, but the whole experience was perfect and will definitely use Emily again. Emily was lovely and made great communication and even arranged a meet up to get to know her, which made me feel more at ease. Emily arrived early and my daughter was made up, they played board games, watched tv and my little girl was pleased being able to show off her gymnastics to someone new. My daughter has even got up this morning an asked if we ever need a babysitter again can Emily come. Would highly recommend Emily, thank you so much xx

I had her twice and she was early for both, great with the kids and even did some housework while we were gone. Was wary at first since it was our first time getting a babysitter but the kids loved her.

I have been using Emily’s service for nearly 2 years now and she asked me to review her on here and I was happy to.
She has been great with my 2 and she has helped them learn and grow into great kids. When I first used her services my youngest was only 3 and even then she was amazing at managing them and helped with potty training and learning new things.
She would take them to the park after school near mine and was always great, we never had a single incident with her and when she left we were devastated.
I am glad she has gone onto new adventures and my two will miss her so much.
She would cook meals, tidy up, help potty train my youngest, help with homework, get packed lunches ready if I needed them done and take the kids out to the park and do activities with them whilst I was at work.
