Part Time Nanny Job in Templetown
About Me
We’re a family living in Consett with a lovely little girl who will be turning 4 in March, and we’re expecting our baby boy in February 2027.
I’ll be returning to work from home following the birth of our son and would love to find a warm, nurturing and reliable nanny to help care for him whilst I work from home, allowing me to continue breastfeeding throughout the day.
Our daughter attends a local school nursery and will be starting primary school in September 2027.
We’re a family who really values consistency, kindness, safety and established routines. We’re hoping to find someone who will build a lovely relationship with our children and become a familiar, trusted part of their lives.
Ideally, we’d love to begin getting to know our nanny before our little boy arrives, allowing our daughter time to become comfortable and familiar with them.
My Requirements
We’re looking for an experienced, caring and dependable nanny to provide childcare in our family home, ideally starting in March 2027 when our baby boy will be approximately 4 weeks old.
Our requirements are:
* Term time: 2 mornings per week, 8/9am–1pm, primarily caring for our baby boy.
* School holidays: 3 mornings per week, 8am–1pm, caring for both children.
* Occasional evenings: Additional ad hoc evening childcare would be appreciated where possible, always discussed and arranged in advance.
Settling-in period -
We would ideally like someone who could begin working with us before our baby arrives, perhaps on occasional Saturday mornings and during school holidays, initially spending time with our daughter.
This would allow us to establish a relationship, introduce our family routines and ensure everyone feels comfortable before the main arrangement begins.
Essential requirements:
* Previous experience caring for newborns, particularly babies under 3 months, and young children.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
* Paediatric first aid training.
* Good understanding of safeguarding, child development, health and safety.
* Excellent references.
* Willingness to follow our parenting preferences, established routines and expectations around childcare.
* Reliable, patient, attentive and nurturing.
We’re particularly keen to find someone who understands the importance of providing a safe, calm and loving environment, and who is happy to work collaboratively with us to ensure consistency in our children’s care.
We’re looking for a long-term arrangement and would welcome enquiries from suitable candidates who can share their experience, qualifications, availability and hourly rate.
