About Me
Hi, My name is Vanessa and I am 19. I'm in my gap year before I go to Norland College next year, (University for training Nannies) where I have an offer. I am a bubbly, social, family-oriented person and of course am passionate about childcare.
Some other things that I could offer as a Nanny are early music lessons as I am grade 8 standard recorder, grade 5 french horn and grade 8 singing. I am also a good cook with knowledge of nutrition and the ability to apply it. I really enjoy sharing this love with children, at the moment I am making a lot of fresh pasta and sticky toffee pudding with the help of the children I am looking after. Having attended a boarding school, I am also used to interacting with other cultures
My Experience
In terms of experience, I am a fully qualified lifeguard, which includes basic first aid and infant and child CPR. I am experienced in looking after children of all ages due to babysitting, around 200 hours of work experience in a pre-school and looking after children on forest school camps, leading and participating many hikes and expeditions in a variety of UK landscapes. I have also completed the Norland College Babysitting course and some temporary Nannying. I have also been a temporary nanny-housekeeper for a family in London, doing meal-prep, laundry, helping with homework and planning activities and am currently a part time nanny to a 10 month old.
My Qualifications
I have A-level psychology, including developmental psychology and the Norland babysitting course.
