Currently unavailable. I am a kind, hardworking nanny with a passion for caring for and developing trusting, meaningful relationships with children. I am a creative person and so I am comfortable leading children in different activities such as baking, crafting and games. I am also an avid crocheter of cuddly toys which my two nieces and nephew certainly benefit from. I also volunteer at a primary school with children of all ages which equips me to help your children with their homework and other tasks requiring focus and patience.
I can perform household duties such as cooking, laundry, tidying up and basic cleaning. I am also comfortable looking after animals including feeding them, playing with them and walking them.
My Experience
My current nannying position will shortly be coming to an end as a spot in after school club opened up. While working with these two girls I did school drop off and pick up in addition to transporting them to after-school activities. I organise their school bags, uniforms and snacks for the next day and cook their dinner. I love doing crafts with them and seeing them respond so positively to getting creative. While I am deeply sad that our time together is coming to an end, I am excited for the next chapter in my nannying career.
I have 13 years of babysitting experience for children from ages 1 to 14 years old either individually or with up to 3 children at a time. I often look after my nieces and nephew (6, 2 and 2) which involves organising activities, engaging in indoor and outdoor play, cooking for and feeding them, getting them ready and settled for bed/up and ready in the morning, encouraging my eldest niece to talk openly with me about things that have upset her and many more responsibilities.
I currently volunteer at a primary school which has allowed me to gain more experience with children of different ages and with small and large groups of children. The work I do as a volunteer is similar to that of pupil support assistant; I guide small groups through classwork, spend time working with children who need additional help, support the teacher in maintaining a quiet and calm working environment, help children through emotional difficulties with compassion and understanding, and aid in organising activities.
I have a background as an optometrist with a special interest in paediatric eye-care as I love working with children. I left this role last year to pursue a career in childcare as this was what I enjoyed most about that job and also what I have enjoyed throughout my life.

First class degree in Optometry BSc (Hons) from Glasgow Caledonian University from which I graduated in 2019.
My Availability
I am currently available for part-time childcare from early morning to early evening with ad-hoc babysitting which can extend further into the evening. Occasional weekend work.
