About Me
I am a Trainee Educational Psychologist living in Bury St Edmunds with my husband. I have worked with children in a caring and teaching capacity for over ten years and have dedicated my life to working with children and young people. My interest in this area arose from growing up with a sibling with Autism and having my parents become foster caters in my early teens. I have a therapeutic and empathetic approach, believing that all behaviour serves a function for children and should be responded to with curiosity and compassion. I have a love for the outdoors, arts and crafts and building rapport with young people through shared interests, games and fun!
My Experience
I have over ten years of experience working in secondary, primary and specialist schools within the UK. I am a qualified primary school teacher in addition to a SENCo, having most recently worked in a school for children and young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. I am confident and experienced working with children with a range of special educational needs and am currently training to become an Educational Psychologist.
