Hi! I'm 24 years old with lots of childcare experience. I have a super warm, caring and friendly personality. I love spending time with children and doing creative activities with them, such as reading and arts and crafts, as well as sports and having a run around. I'm a great cook and baker. I speak conversational Spanish and German...next year I will be training to be an English teacher abroad!
I'm available for school drop-off and pick-up, evenings and weekends.
I live locally to Tooting and Balham area but have my own car so can access other areas South London easily.
My Experience
I have had lots of experience looking after children across a range of age groups.
I babysat two young children (6 and 9) on a long term basis before I went to University. This included dropping them off and picking them up from school, helping them with homework, cooking dinner and doing activities with them. I also babysat on weekends sometimes, going to the park, museums or the library, watching a film and putting them to bed.
I have been a one-off babysitter for lots of parents during the evenings. Lots of parents recommend me to friends in the local area, who know I am good to call if they need last minute childcare!
I have worked as a lead-playworker at an art-based summer camp for children aged 3-15 in the past few summers. I planned and led daily creative sessions for a group of 20 children and also offered 1:1 support throughout the day. I have experience adapting to an unpredictable environment, anticipating different needs and delivering tailored support.
In terms of older teenagers, I also have experience. At my current job as a Student Activities Assistant at my University, I provided lots of support to students. I’m kind, adaptable, approachable and sensitive to different needs.
