About Me
Hey everyone! I am a German Early Years Teacher who is in the process of becoming a nanny. I came to London last year for my MA and I am excited to work and live in South East London. In my free time you will find me listening to music, reading my never ending pile of books, and enjoying my friendships and nature. I am a compassionate person dreaming of a more peaceful world in which all individuals have equal opportunities and rights.
My Experience
I have worked as a casual child minder and babysitter for more than 10 years with children between 10 months and 11 years of age. I worked as an au pair for a family with two boys (six months and three years old) and after my BA in Early Childhood Education I worked as an Early Years Teacher in a nursery in Germany. I have an apprenticeship in pedagogy of sexuality (Sex Education) and a MA in Gender, Sexuality, and Culture. I love to include this knowledge in my inclusive, anti racist, and feminist approach. I am currently working in a kindergarten but I miss the very crucial and strong relationships with the children. Sadly this is so hard to maintain in a busy kindergarten setting. I believe that every child deserves my full attention and I think a loving but professional relationship is vital in order to see, understand, and respond accordingly to each child's needs. I have also worked as a personal assistant for people with disabilities and I can confidently say that I am a good listener, I am flexible, open, and non judgmental.
My Qualifications
I have University degrees in Early Childhood Education and Gender, Sexualita, and Culture. Moreover, I have completed an apprenticeship in Sex Education for children, young adults, and adults. I have experience in customer service and personal assistance. Moreover, I have worked and studied abroad.
My Availability
I am ideally looking for part time work but I am open for a full time role.
