My Experience
During my honours year in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of the West of Scotland, I gained extensive experience working with children in various settings. I volunteered at multiple primary schools, where I taught sports to students from Primary 1 to 7 through lunchtime and after-school clubs. This role involved planning and conducting activities that were both fun and educational, fostering teamwork and promoting physical fitness.
In addition to my sports teaching, I spent three months volunteering every Thursday in a Primary 4 classroom at a primary school in East Kilbride. This experience allowed me to assist with classroom management, support individual student needs, and contribute to lesson planning and execution.
Moreover, I have worked with children with Additional Support Needs (ASN) in sports settings. This involved adapting activities to meet diverse needs, ensuring inclusivity, and providing individualized support to help every child participate and enjoy the experience.
These roles have honed my ability to engage with children of different ages and abilities, manage groups effectively, and create a positive and safe learning environment. As I prepare to begin my postgraduate studies in Primary Teaching, I am eager to apply my skills and experiences to provide excellent care and support as a babysitter.

I can be available each evening including weekends.
I currently work part time which varies between working every second Saturday (9-5pm) and every third Sunday (11-3pm) meaning I can be available the days i’m not working.
