Hi, I’m Anneline and I have over 4 years of experience in children-facing roles. I just completed my second year at Lancaster University working part time as a playworker at a local primary school. I have a strong passion for child language acquisition and speech disorders, inspiring me to one day go down the route of speech and language therapy.
Originally from Hertfordshire, I grew up speaking French and English and attended a French Saturday school. This has enriched my appreciation of other cultures and languages and as a result am always trying to learn bits where I can!
In my free time, I play netball and go to the gym. Having started out as a gymnastics coach when I was 16, I am no stranger to keeping up with energetic kids! I pride myself on creating a safe environment that supports the child’s social and emotional development through imaginative play and other activities that honour the interests of the child.
My Experience
I have 4+ years of experience working with children aged 3-12. My roles have included gymnastics coaching, a playworker, TA and babysitting ad hoc. These roles involved taking care of admin tasks, preparing healthy snacks, safeguarding responsibilities and leading creative activities for groups of children. In my current role as a playworker at Scotforth C of E Primary School in Lancaster I lead groups of children in daily fun activities covering a multitude of areas like sports, arts & crafts and nature! I have a clear DBS, level 1 safeguarding training, and level 3 emergency first aid training.
