My Summary

My Experience

In the summer of 2024, I spent 12 weeks working at an American summer camp, where I cared for children aged 7 to 16. I was responsible for a cabin of eight children, ensuring they were happy, engaged, and well-supported. I organised various activities and provided comfort during challenging moments, such as homesickness. Having worked with a diverse group of children from different backgrounds, I developed strong adaptability and flexibility in my approach to childcare. I’ve also babysat for a family where both parents were working from home, caring for their two-year-old and four-year-old. I really enjoyed spending time with them, taking them to the park, preparing lunch, and playing various games to keep them entertained.

From May to November of this year, I worked full-time as a Children’s Activity Leader for Neilson Holidays, where I was responsible for the care and supervision of children aged 3–11. My role involved delivering a wide range of engaging activities, organising games, and ensuring that each child had a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience.

Twice a week, I also worked evening shifts supporting both younger and older age groups. With the younger children, this included supervising dinner, helping them with their bedtime routines, reading stories, and settling them in with a film. For the older children, I coordinated and led evening tennis sessions before overseeing their collection later in the evening.

This position allowed me to develop strong childcare, activity planning, and behaviour-management skills while creating a fun and supportive environment for all participants.

My Qualifications

I have 9 GCSE’s, 3 A Levels and have completed my degree in Marketing.

My Availability

I’ve recently graduated and finished my summer season working abroad, and I now have plenty of free time. I’m flexible and happy to help whenever I’m needed.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour

I also work in hospitality through an agency, which allows me to take on shifts whenever I have availability. In that role, I earn £12 an hour, so I’m comfortable with a rate of £10 or more per hour for childcare.
