My Experience
Although I am young, I have had over 2 years experience working with children aged 0-11. I began volunteering at Rainbows when I was 15, playing with and encouraging engagement in different activities. I then began volunteering at high school to assist in the teaching of a language where I leant how to communicate with children in different ways, tailored to them as an individual. I also worked in an after school club which involved collecting children from school, feeding them, playing with them and cleaning up after them. From my personal life, I additionally have experience with babies from being newborn as I became an auntie to my beautiful nephew at 16. I believe the most important thing I have learnt from my experience with children is how to act like a big kid myself, whilst also maintaining safety and comfort for the children.
My Qualifications
I gained a level 2 Distinction* in health and social care at GCSE. Before my job in childcare, I had a DBS check which is completely clean. I also had some first aid training for this role too.
My Availability
As I am currently enrolled in sixth form, I am not available during the day. However, this finishes in June so I will have a much wider availability.
