About Me

Kia Ora,
I am a passionate and dedicated early childhood educator with a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Teaching. I grew up in Auckland, New Zealand. I enjoy going for walks, exploring new places, and immersing myself in different experiences. My passion for childcare began early, as I am the youngest of four and grew up surrounded by a large network of cousins. Through my relationships with my younger cousins, I discovered my love for working with children.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various early learning environments, gaining valuable experience across different age groups. I began working in afterschool programs with older children before moving into a baby room after graduating university. While I have spent the majority of my career working with toddlers, I have also worked with preschool-aged children in my most recent role. This diverse experience has equipped me with essential childcare skills, including preparing bottles, changing nappies, supporting teething infants, feeding children, putting them to sleep, toilet training, and fostering preschool readiness skills.
My approach to childcare is holistic—I believe in balancing structured learning with play-based experiences that nurture children's interests and developmental needs. I strongly believe in following a child's lead, fostering warm and trusting relationships, and supporting their social and emotional growth. I am passionate about encouraging independence and confidence in children while providing them with appropriate challenges and opportunities for physical play.

Active play and outdoor exploration are incredibly important to me. During my time in early childhood education, I loved organizing and leading excursions for children, ensuring they had unique and enriching experiences outside the classroom. As part of my responsibilities, I conducted risk assessments for these outings, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. I also enjoy cooking and baking and often incorporate these activities into my childcare practice. With a food safety certificate and experience designing meal plans in early learning centres, I am confident in preparing safe, healthy, and age-appropriate meals for children.
I’m really looking forward to this next chapter in my career as a nanny. The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and their families while providing personalized care is something I’m truly passionate about. With my experience, dedication, and natural warmth, I am confident in my ability to create a loving, engaging, and supportive environment where children can thrive.
