About Me
I live in the rural village of Stamford Bridge in East Yorkshire with my husband Tom. We welcomed our daughter in 2018, followed by our little boy in 2021. I have loved caring for my own children and feel it is an immense privilege to be a part of a child’s life, particularly in the early years when they are developing, learning and growing so much. My aim is to provide a fun, enjoyable and loving home-from-home for your little one. Our home is a welcoming space where all children can feel safe, supported and cared for. We have a lovely bright playroom with a wide range of toys, games and resources to support your child’s development and learning. We also have a secure, accessible garden with a variety of toys to ensure that children can explore the outdoors area at every opportunity.
My Experience
I love encouraging children to enjoy music and movement, reading, arts and crafts, role play, baking and real-world experiences - from a trip to the local shops to nature walks and treasure hunts. Some weeks we will explore a different theme, which shapes our play and allows the children to develop creatively. Examples of our themes may include ‘under the sea’, ‘zoos’ or ‘people who help us’. We’ll explore this through stories, songs, conversation and a range of activities. There is also ample opportunity for free play, and if a child has a particular idea or interest at any given time, we go with it! I love supporting child-led, spontaneous play and seeing where little imaginations take us! I’d love to welcome you to our home and talk more about how I can support you and your family.
