About Me
Hi there! My name is Ruby and I am a babysitter living in Walthamstow. I work as an TA in a secondary school, working with children with special-educational needs and delivering literacy interventions. I live in Walthamstow, and work in the local area. I would love the opportunity to get to know your child, form a lasting bond and help in any way I can, whether that may be academic support, creative activities, sport or just hanging out after school and on the weekends. I am particularly looking for work during the summer holidays, during which I am available full time.
My Experience
1 year as a Learning Support Assistant at a secondary school in Walthamstow. Leading several literacy interventions a week, supporting students aged 11-15 with a wide range of social, emotional and educational needs, providing pastoral support, and academic guidance.
I previously worked part time as a course instructor with Young Lego Engineers, supporting primary-aged children build Lego Engineering models, with a focus on early STEM skills.
I have two years experience community and charity volunteering, working at a climate change NGO, a care home for the elderly, specialising in patients with dementia, a Save the Children charity shop, a Lifeboat rescue charity, and with Age-UK’s old age loneliness support program.
Outside of this, I love fitness, art, reading, politics, second-hand thrifting, music, and hiking/ cold water swimming.

I have a Ba in Politics and International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London (1st class Hons). A Levels- BBB. GCSEs- 6 A* 4 A.

Weekday evenings and weekends. Summer- full time availability and looking for full time work with the right family.
