About Me
Hi! I’m Nela and I’m a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator. I’ve been working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery in Exeter for 2.5 years and have recently left as I will be moving to Plymouth in the next few weeks to study at the University. I’m looking for babysitting/ nanny jobs to take on during my free days in the week.
I’m a hugely family-oriented person and have always Ioved looking after children. I come from a big family and have a 7 year old brother as well as many nieces and nephews so can definitely appreciate how important it is to trust the person taking care of your little one.
At University I’ll be studying Psychology, hoping to specialise in Child Psychology later down the line. In my free time I love to go on dog walks, swim and spend time with my partner, usually outdoors, watching movies or enjoying a nice meal :) I speak fluent Polish and a little bit of Spanish and love travelling, too! Additionally I love to use Makaton and can communicate using the BSL alphabet too.
My Experience
I am a Level 3 Early Years Educator with Paediatric First Aid and am DBS checked. I have 2.5 years experience with children aged 0-5 in a nursery setting but have been babysitting and caring for children outside of a professional setting for much longer.
At my nursery I was based in the 2-5 room and specialised in Preschool (3-5 ). However, I worked in the 0-2 room too and have experience with babies as young as 3 months. I have various experience with SEND children, children with hearing difficulties and children who have Speech & Language needs or have been in SALT. I cared for children with various allergies, dietary requirements and preferences and have taken additional training in using an Epi-Pen in emergency situations. If your child has any needs outside of these please reach out and I’ll be more than happy to chat about how I can support your little one best.
My babysitting style is very homely and loving and I make sure to adapt that to every child’s individual needs to make them feel as safe as possible! If they’re a snuggler they will get as many snuggles as they need and if not, we can have lots of fun doing something else :)
My Qualifications
Since early 2023 I’ve worked my way up from an Apprentice to a Level 3 Early Years Educator in a nursery and achieved a Distinction with NCFE Cache. I have my Paediatric First Aid certification as well as a full DBS check. If you’d like to see either of those please don’t hesitate to ask!
During my time at my nursery job I took additional training around child safeguarding and SEND (Special Educational Needs).
My Availability
I’m looking for part-time babysitting/ nanny jobs during the week. Ideally full days on Wednesdays and Fridays but some evenings on a Mon, Tue or Thurs could work too. Additionally, depending on the time I could help with school/ nursery pick ups or drop offs.
